Remember Cibachrome and Ilfochrome printing? Want the nearest thing in inkjet printing? Need to use face mount acrylics or hot laminates without ripples or air bubbles?
InkjetPro Glossy Film is a revolution for those using inkjet printers and especially those using the new Canon Lucia EX inkset that require super gloss prints. Glossy Papers have been available for inkjet printing for over a decade yet few have used them due to the ugly gloss differential of pigment inks. Glossy papers have also proven unsuitable for high quality signage applications and high gloss heat lamination as they tear and ripple. Now InkjetPro Glossy film solves all previous problems and represents a single solution for almost all very high gloss applications using inkjet printers. Giclee Printing InkjetPro Glossy Film is coated with one of the worlds best German made ink jet receptor coatings that is designed for professional photography and rapid drying. The coating is fluorescent optical brightener (OBA) free yet a bright neutral white due to the tone of the underlying pure polyester base that does not need enhancement. When printing with Canon Lucia EX inks the end result resembles the gloss of pure water with a slightly metallic effect. There is little if any evidence of the print being made by an inkjet printer and the method produces greater sharpness and DMAX than silver print technologies with much better longevity. InkjetPro Glossy Film requires no over coating or lamination when behind glass and the polyester film is archival and suitable for mounting with buffered museum matte boards. The film does not warp due to high humidity like paper media. Hot lamination and Acrylic Face Mounting InkjetPro Glossy Film is the only suitable choice for inkjet face and aluminum mounting. Unlike glossy papers there is no paper grain that distorts the surface. This distortion causes air pockets for acrylic face mounts and surface ripple for high gloss heat laminates. InkjetPro Glossy Film is 100% archival polyester and it is absolutely flat. It does not show ripple in glossy heat laminates and is suitable for rear face adherence to aluminum. The product is the preferred solution for acrylic face lamination with or without a rear panel. The polyester film resists rear attack by humidity and water. Should you be considering any type of face mount acrylic, InkjetPro Glossy Film should be used in preference to any type of paper to insure front face flatness and freedom from attack by humidity. POP Displays InkjetPro Glossy Film is not water resistant – its waterproof (with pigments). Although being more expensive than matt signage polypropylene the super high gloss nature combined with tear resistance and high color make this an ideal display that really works in banners or roll up displays. InkjetPro Glossy Film needs no over lamination to be water resistant and being instant dry can be used for immediate signage that doesn't require waiting for out gassing like polypropylene printed eco solvents. The material can be used outside for short periods without over lamination. Features:
