Canvas Coatings

A complete range of liquid and spray coatings for all inkjet printable canvas types

All Acid Free.

Aquathane-UV (Spray Only)

The premium water based protective coating for inkjet canvas materials.

Available in the Australian market for over 20 years, this product is constructed from flexible UV stable Urethane resin and is considerably more resistant to heat and UV light than almost all other coatings.

When dry Urethane is far less likely to stick to itself, so finished canvas products are safer when transported and displayed in adverse Australian conditions.

Aquathane-UV must be sprayed using an HVLP spray gun and is available in Gloss, Satin and Matt Finish. 1 Litre and 4 Litre sizes are provided.

This is an Australian made product and should be the protection of choice in Australia’s northern regions.

Gicleeshield II (Spray and hand roller on water resistant products)

The default water based liquid laminate for spray and hand roller usage in Gloss, Satin and Matt finish.

Gicleeshield II is Australian made and has been sold into the Australian and New Zealand marketplace for over 15 years.

Gicleeshield II gives most canvas types added flexibility against cracking, resistance to scratching, chemical attack and extended lifespan.

The product does not require the mixing of components.

Sizes range for 500mil to 1 and 4 Litre containers. This product can be thickened and used in combination with acrylic paints and substances for embellishment of fine art canvas.

Satin and Gloss canvas cannot be roll coated by hand or machine  due to their limited water resistance.

Helmar Spray (Cans)

Available in 400 mil spray cans of either Matt or Gloss, this solvent based spray is convenient and fast drying where water based sprays are not practical.

Helmar is non yellowing and has been tested and is suitable for all current Giclee Media Supplied inkjet, UV Cure, Solvent and HP Latex ink types.

This spray is for indoor use only and should be tested before usage as some types of inkjet coating can suffer altered black density.
