Why change something that isn't broken?

In 2016 Canon introduced the imagePROGRAPH PRO-1000, which earned itself one of the best reputations for sheet paper handling in the industry.

The new PRO-1100 model takes the same heads and tanks and looks the same except it prints much longer panoramas and takes the much improved Lucia II inks

These new inks show a measurable improvement in shadow definition on matt art papers (we have measured it) and better scratch resistance when you pull them from the machine (we have tested it side by side)

The machine is not A2 but a full 17 inches and can accept 17 inch roll media when it is cut into long sections.

GMS has 50 sheet A2 lab packs of various French art papers combined with profiles and media settings for these inks. The bulk media is often 30% to 50% less expensive than that available in the camera shops that emanates from the same base manufacture.

This is easily the undisputed best printer for inkjet greeting cards as it can print very professional industry standard 5 by 7 inch cards without white borders

While it only has 10 Lucia inks, the black is the same as that of the PRO II machines and its lustre photo printing almost indistinguishable from its larger brothers

The dye based PRO-200 is also available but its short lived colors are a major detraction.
